You are invited to “Meet and Greet Doll Artist: Jeanne Singer.”
Jeanne has been a Bloomfield resident since the early ‘70s and began her doll-making career here with apple dolls and sculpted bread-dough dolls before progressing to porcelain. Around the world, collectors admire her dolls for their realistic features, radiant beauty, and attention to detail. With over more than 40 years of doll-making, Jeanne has won many national honors including several first-place awards from the United Federation of Doll Collectors, a “Dolls of Excellence” award from Dolls magazine, representation in the “Most Beautiful Dolls Book,” and a commission for the Strong Museum. In addition to her individually crafted dolls, her designs have been reproduced for collectors by Ashton-Drake Galleries and The Danbury Mint.
Please join us in honoring this talented local artist with a display of her work, a question and answer discussion of her creative process, a sculpting demonstration, and light refreshments. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a drawing to win one of Jeanne’s valuable porcelain dolls for a small donation of $5.00 per ticket. Several companion dolls designed and created by Jeanne will also be available for sale for $200 and can be signed for you that day by the artist
